Massive tax cut will hurt public schools

Call your legislators. Urge them to reconsider.

Senate Bill 509, a $620 million tax cut, was passed by the Missouri General Assembly April 16. If this bill becomes law, it would severely damage Missouri’s bottom line. Senate Bill 509 would force drastic cuts to public education, including K-12 classrooms, college scholarships and higher education institutions. The Missouri School Boards Association estimates school districts would take a funding reduction of $223 million when fully implemented.

Call your legislator today. Urge them to reconsider Senate Bill 509. Visit
